ABOUT LILY

Lily Mamminga is a music director, performer, vocal coach, and arranger originally from Chicago and currently based in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.

Recent musical theatre projects include Anastasia (Asst. MD) and Make Me A Song (Asst. MD) with Lyric Theatre @ Illinois. Additionally, Lily taught musical theatre and music directed a series of showcases at Marquee Youth Stage in the summer of 2025. She most recently music directed and orchestrated Love Sucks vol. 9, a devised dance-theatre variety show with Lyric Theatre and Dance @ Illinois. She frequently writes and arranges music, and her work as a singer-songwriter additionally earned her a spot in New York University's prestigious Summer Songwriting Intensive (2022).

As a performer, Lily currently sings with Lyric Theatre @ Illinois and the Meredith Chamber Singers. She placed as a finalist in the Central Region NATS Student Auditions in 2025, singing in the collegiate Musical Theatre category. Lily is certified through Estill Voice Training as a vocal teacher, and she is passionate about vocal health and science-based anatomical pedagogy.

Currently, Lily is pursuing a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Lyric Theatre at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (expected 2028), where she studies under Lara Brooks. Professionally, she is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, and serves as the co-moderator of Student Maestras.
